Halloween at Denmark Cottage

Halloween / The Cottage

Here is a little peek at our Halloween Decor over the last year or two.

Halloween has always been a favorite holiday of ours but especially Todd.

Back when we first started dating… Todd would set up a giant Halloween display in his parents front yard.

Literally hundreds of people would come out to see it. We would have church groups and families come night after night to visit “Restless Slumber Cemetery”.

Mr. Bonehead was one of the main attractions…He was basically an animated skeleton coming out of the ground that would interact with the guests. Freaked people out when he would call them by name or wish them a Happy Birthday.

The kids loved him!!

Todd would dress up in a wolf costume that he made and run around to scare people.

Men even tried to pay him to scare their wives, it was hysterical.

I would dress up as a witch and give out candy. I had the worst witch laugh ever!! Seriously… it was bad!!

He did his display every year for about three years or so or at least until we started a family.

Every year he will usually put a small display in our front yard, but nothing like it used to be.

We still enjoy reminiscing over those days and we sometimes talk about plans for something bigger in the future.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds, but I can tell you that it will be nothing short of amazing if Todd has anything to do with it!

Hope you enjoyed my little tour down memory lane… I know it was fun for me to reminisce.

Sometimes you just need to go low maintenance and thankfully @hobbylobby had some artificial geraniums that were pretty close to perfect. Our boys getting married 💫 Life Lately ❤️ Since 1971, every single day at 5 pm in the Magic Kingdom, Disney World pauses to honor a veteran during the Flag Retreat Ceremony. 😭 This “Philly dip” as we like to call it, has become a favorite weeknight meal. I’ve been setting up my kitchen to make cooking from scratch feel easier and more natural. 🤍 Our own little Jurassic park here in North Florida 🐊 Cooking from scratch and cutting back on preservatives has truly changed my life. 🤍 I’m not sure if this need to declutter is a midlife thing or just the fact that I’m tired of having to get multiple bins of Christmas decor and drag them inside from the shed 🤪
