Easy Care Indoor/Outdoor Plant

Cottage Decor / Spring Decor

One of the easiest ways to add a touch of Spring or greenery to your home is by bringing the outdoors in.

One of my favorite plants that is not only beautiful but so easy to care for is the Pothos Plant.

I’m pretty sure anyone could keep these plants alive. I only water them once a week and even sometimes forget to do that. But since this is such a forgiving plant, it just comes right back to life after I give it a drink.

I have found that they do best in shade if you keep them outside and they love the light if you keep them indoors.

I absolutely love how The Goblin Market Restaurant in Mount Dora, FL used them on their patio. I originally had the one you see on the mantel in the first photo on our back porch. I brought it inside since we are working on the pergola and there is no shade at the moment. Pothos will grow until you have to finally trim them up or else they will take over. If you want to learn more about how you can propagate these beauties … check out my friend Terrica’s tips HERE. I’m pretty sure she is the Pothos expert l!

The older we get, the more we realize that one of life’s greatest blessings is growing up surrounded by people who love you. Last year, my friend and I took a road trip to Macon, Georgia, to tour the incredible Hay House. No matter how many tips and tricks we’ve tried, we just can’t seem to keep mums alive. 😂 So ready for cooler weather, Mountain leaves, sweaters, pumpkin carving, pecan pie and pumpkins everywhere 🍂🍁 There was a time when the front porch was where the day ended. Neighbors stopped by, children played until the fireflies came out, and conversations lasted long after the sun went down. Todd and I have found that one of the best ways to experience a town is by bringing our bikes along. Which porch would you want to sit and enjoy a nice tall glass of freshly brewed sweet iced tea? Pimento cheese is a staple here in the south and although I prefer homemade, you can usually find a good one in the local farm stores. Watching her pick tomatoes from the garden, feed the chickens, and clap with excitement every time she finds an egg reminds me that joy doesn’t have to come from expensive toys or elaborate plans.
