HOWDY!

We are Todd and Tammy Denmark, owners and operators of Denmark Acres, LLC.

We wanted to officially introduce ourselves and tell you the backstory behind our Old West Town of Ravens’s Hollow! In October of 1990, Todd created a small cemetery named Restless Slumber in his parent’s front yard. Hundreds would flock to witness his creations and be terrified!

After starting careers and a family we chose to put things on hold while still dreaming and planning how we would incorporate Restless Slumber Cemetery into our future. It was only after our children had grown that we made the decision to officially set our plans into action!

We used all of our savings and found as many free supplies as we could to build a drive through cemetery. With the help of family and friends… we opened our Drive Thru in 2021.

Due to long lines and traffic issues on our road, we decided to make Restless Slumber Cemetery part of an old west town where people could walk around and have things to do for the whole family!

After many dinner napkin drawings and lots of planning, we built the town of Ravens Hollow in our parents back field using the proceeds from our old Drive Thru.

Construction soon began on a ticket booth and a small jail. From there, Todd’s dad Chuck installed electricity throughout the park. Further expansions included: a general store, a mining company, an Undertaker facade, a playground, a wooden stage and some fencing around the park.

Thankfully, our amazing food trucks and vendors took a chance on us and with the help of our friends and family, we had our very first Fall Festival in October of 2022. We were blown away by the amount of community support!

It is because of all of you, that we were able to expand. We added onto the General Store where folks can shop antiques, gifts, homemade baked goods, nostalgic candy and more. Todd’s aunt, Frankie Sue, built us a Livery stable to house animals for the petting zoo. We also added irrigation to help grow our maze ad sunflowers for our annual fall festival.

In the future we would like to have schools and daycares out during the week to teach about gardening and life in the 1800’s.

We have big plans and not a big budget, so we are taking baby steps to build our town up season by season. It’s a lot of hard work, but when we get to see family and friends making memories with those they love, it makes it all worth while.

Thank you to all of you who continue to show up and support us! We would not be here if it weren’t for all of you and our family and friends!
